Gen6 Temperature gauge

I have an 07 SE i4 and the temperature gauge needle points straight to the left. This is right in the middle. All of my previous cars run with the temp needle a bit lower then half way. I was wondering where your gauge reads normaly.

Normally it should be a tad lower than half way. My needle went up before when I had an incident of overheat so have been watching my needlbe like a hawk. If your needle is exactly at the half way then bring it in to the dealer to let them see it. If they say it normal then ask them you want to test drive one of the same Camry's on the lot to see if the needle is the same as yours. I would nicely demand they fix it. Let us know how it goes.

The needle in all of the Toyota's that we have (05 Corolla, 04 Camry, 04 Sienna, 04 Solora, 05 Tundra, 93 Camry, 92 Previa) are bang on in the middle. Why wouldnt it be in the middle. Logically, if it is normal operating temp, it should read half way. Right?

Are you sure it exactly pointing at the middle? If you look closely it is just a tad lower than at the middle.

Once the car heats up, my needle is exactly in the middle. That's no matter if it's deadly hot outside, too.

Thanks for the replies. Just yesterday the needle creeped up and I can now see a bit of orange just under it. I wasn't too concerned, just wanted to see where everyone else's gauge reads. I'll have dealer look at it though. I need to take it in to have the VIP alarm activated at another dealer. The dealership where I got it from, couldn't get it to work.
