05 camry speakers

I was cleaning out my car today and i had the music up.. as i was cleaning the passenger side i realized the speaker for the front passenger had no sound.. i was wondering if anyone knew what brand the factory speakers are? and if i should get it replaced by the dealer or purchase aftermarket ones? if aftermarket which ones would you recommend.

thank you!!

do u have the JBL system? if so, then thats an obvious answer.. if not, then i believe they are fujitsu ten aka eclipse. u will have to get speaker adapters to fit aftermarket speakers in the existing baffles.

and in all seriousness, did u check if the fader was set to center?

Usually a speaker doesn't just stop working if it goes bad, it will often distort or sound bad instead. Since there is no sound it sounds like a wire/electrical issue. I would sugest checking the peaker leads for power with a test light and go from there.

yeh the fader was set center. I even tried setting the fader towards the passenger door and there was nothing. They are just stock speakers but yeah. I guess since there was no sound coming from that speaker, i thought that it blew and jumped to conclusion to buying a new one. But thank you guys for the tips, I will get it checked out and see what the problem is before anything. o and btw im new to the forums (: thanks for the help i appreciate it.

if there's absolutely no sound then it's wiring 100% unless it's the stereo which I really doubt either fried wire somewhere or disconnected or cut, if it's fried unless you can see it doubt you'll be able to fix it might have to run new wiring for that speaker from under the dash, good luck finding it
