I bought a set of puddle lights about eight months ago, just never got around to installing them. I wasn't going to install all ten since I personally thought it was overkill.

My Volvo had them from the factory under each side mirror. It's a really nice feature. They would turn on when I used the keyfob to unlock the doors and turn off when I started the car. I think they were on a circuit with the interior lights on 'door' setting.

Putting them on the footwells would be a nice touch, it would really match the ones on the outside. I wonder if they would be as bright as cathodes though. I'd prefer the spotlights only because they match the outside ones.

thread hijack :-)

playing around with them a little, I like the idea in general I'll probably move the first 4 back more as the last ones are so you can't see the actual lights only the output on the ground, and not sure if I'll take any out but the 5 look nice in general (mine are white not sure why they come out blue must be my camera somehow heh it doesnt like dark spaces)
It's a cool touch for when you get out I've hooked it up to the dome light since I got the wires going down from there from an earlier project so the hook up was really easy for me, waiting for the winter I'll have some fun with those in the snow if they still work and dont fly off haha
