5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I'm looking at '07s right now. I'd like to stick with the 16" wheels and LE suspension, b/c as much as I like sporty and tight handling, I'll be driving this thing about 300k highway miles in the next 5-6 years. So, I'll be going through more tires and want the plusher ride and longer lasting and less expensive non-sport 16" tires. Anyway...anyone have any nice looking aftermarket wheel choices in 16" size that will take standard width tires? I'd like to give it a sportier look without sacrificing the other things mentioned above.
i have 16in TRD/BBS wheels on my camry, with yokahama avid tires and my car has a sportier look and handles great.....iots all about choice of tire/wheel combination....me? i perfer a smaller wheel for better performance and lighter weight....the less expensive tires help too
why dont you just get the 17s from the 07 SE models or from is300?
it will definitely give you a sportier look than 16s ever would.
Did you read my post? I want to stay on 16's b/c I don't want to go down in sidewall height and prefer to stick with 'touring' tires rather than 'sport' tires. Basically, I want a long lasting, softer riding tire which is a standard size (so also less expensive, even for the high quality ones). I know bigger rims are always going to look sportier.
Anyone have any suggestions or have any good looking 16" alloys?
haha thanks TRD....its just a lil something different thats all....ive since painted my calipers black and i plan on tinting the windows as well....i figured id do a black/blue theme cause i have the blacked out SE grille, emblems and headlights

DANG! Put a big star on the door, a stripe down the side, and red lights on the roof and you have yourself a smokey cruiser!
This car looks sinister!

I have got a set of 16 inch wheels with tires takeoffs, driven approx 50 miles.
they are toyota wheels with center cap 7 spoke design.
email me at brasur0104@hotmail.com for pictures.
Asking $1000 OBO.
I've got my 18" BBS with same tires as Corcamry, rides nice and smooth. Sure theres more metal so feel a lil more bump, but its nothing to even notice. It makes up for it with the smooth, sleek, and tight control.
