Gen6 Happy so far!

I am a new Camry owner. I purchased a used 2007 Camry SE back in June 07. I had been driving a 2004 Dodge Ram Hemi on a 70 mile route trip commute to work and just could not afford the gas any longer. I am very pleased with the Camry so far. I am averaging between 28 and 33 mpg, compared to the 15-16 i was getting on the Hemi. I miss the power but my billfold appreciates the savings. I have had a lot of very nice comments on the sporty look of my new Camry. Oh yeah, I went out and bought an old 1991 ford f150 to hunt out of, so i have a beater for a hunting truck and a nice ride for my daily commute!

Welcome to the forum and glad you are enjoying your new ride. These are good cars. Hey, y'all growing corn in the field behind the car?

Great looking car!

The truck, not so much.

I'm sure that you will continue to enjoy your Camry. They are great cars. It's nice to see your first post is a positive one.

Welcome to TN.

I went from my 2007 Hemi QC to same car as yours but in grey color. Love how much $$$ I have saved since I got rid of the truck. Same thing about power, but I remeber I never really got on it anymore because of gas prices..used to be a resident of DodgeTalk.com

Welcome.

I too have a long commute to work (about 55 miles) and the Camry is definitely a comfortable and reliable way of getting there.

I'm diggin' the oh-so urban monochrome camo paint scheme on the Ford. Drop 'er way too low, add some Wal-Mart neon lights, and a cheap sound system too loud for the structure of the vehicle so you get that thump'n'buzz while you cruise...BUMPzzzzz BUMPzzzzz BUMPzzzzz BUMPzzzzz...

I kid... seriously, that truck is 100 times better condition than my old Dodge, which gets AWFUL gas mileage on my 140-mile round-trip commute to work every day. It doesn't speak well for my intelligence that I continue to drive the Dodge while the Camry sits at home. It's my wife's car, though, and I can't stand to put so many miles on it. It's pristine!!!

I like your Camry choice, by the way... Barcelona Red is a great color! Congrats on your purchase and welcome to TN!!

Gen6 Thanks for the warm welcome!

I appreciate the welcome to the forum, thought i would add a pic of the Hemi that I had to part with. Once again I am very pleased with the performance of my new Camry SE and each day i get comments on the sporty look! I know the old Ford I posted a pic of on here is not actually a true replacement for the Hemi i traded on the Camry, but it will serve my purpose for a hunting truck. Just shows what a few beers, a few quarts of paint, and you girlfriend can accomplish on a Sunday afternoon, Camo Pickup!
