Depends what you want.

I got a 07 Camry LE and like it. Good car with no problems. No TSB fixes needed for my 4cyl. Good room and highway cruiser which mattered to me. My wifes Honda Accord is better built and the 4cyl is much more peppy. Toyota builds a better refined/economical 6cyl. Honda has a little less room and more noise. Again it depends what matters to you. I love VW Passats and Audi A6 - but I can't depend on them.

I have the V6 LE and although I do have the flare, but it's not big deal for me.

Get an either late 07 built Cam SE V6 or an 08! Me and my fiance just recently purchased an 07 Cam SE V6 and were worried a bit about some TSB's that were out! Just print out the few TSB's and take em with you to the dealer and compare the VIN #'s to see if it falls into that TSB category! So far no problems with the 07 SE V6, only 400 miles though but it is an outstanding ride! No complaints at all, as a matter of fact I was thinking of either selling or trading my 01 Nissan Max SE for a Camry SE V6 (My fiance does more of the driving with the 07 Camry we have). The only thing is my Maxima has been awesome with no major problems. The 2 problems I did have (tranny @ 75k and starter at 85k) were covered under my 7yr/100k extended warranty and all has been fine ever since! So it's kind of hard for me to give up a car that has been rock solid for me since day one (original owner) even though I know the Camry will be just as rock solid if not better! Good luck, and imo go for the Camry SE V6 and just be sure to check the TSB's and confirm VIN #'s! This forum is really helpful with the TSB list! Great work!

You can't be sure you won't have a problem-free V6. So if you're wary get the 4 cyl.

I got the SE V6 knowing that there's all these tranny flare problems.

But then if you go on any forum board, let's say Accord or Altima, they'll have their own verison of complaints.

My V6 is great, gives a much greater pull then the 2AZ engine, definitely worth the preminum over the I4 for the V6. It of course all comes down to what you want from your car though, price vs performance.
