Sorry I asked a question earlier but I m really interested in fixing up my interior. I want to get LEather seats but was wondering how much of a pain in the ass is it. I also heard i have to get a 2 row package if I buy it for the front and back seats. I really want to do it myself but I ve never done nothing like that before and want to know if its level of difficutly should have me hire a pro to do it
just check by manufacturer. covers usually stated if they will fit for the airbags. are you going for leather covers only or for the total upgrade to leather

try and use the search function on this board and you'll find a couple of people who have upgraded from cloth to leather using OEM leather upgrade kits through DIY methods.
i upgraded from cloth to leather and had a local upholstery shop do it. i lucked out and found an OEM upgrade cheap for dirt cheap on ebay.
i would absolutly LOVE to add some leather to my 06 se. with the perforated inserts like the factory had. someone give some advice on where to buy these! cant find them on ebay..
ok so after some research it looks like katzkins are the best option. as stated in the other thread. does anyone have any experience with these? what i really want to know is how much professional installation will run me? its looking like somewhere around the $1100 all in.
I had my car in the shop for like 3 days and it cost me about 750 bucks for the labor. The upgrade also included upgrading to leather inserts for all 4 doors.
Just find out what, if any, upholstery shop your dealer uses for leather installation. Find out what brand they use for their seats and then work from there. I'm sure you can get a lot better deal then I got on labor. From what i know, the leather seats that I used are from a company called PECCA. They make OEM kits for Toyota, Ford, Nissan, etc.
Try to use the search function on these boards regarding this issue, there's a number of them dealing with DIY methods of installing and upgrading to leather. I believe there is a member here from TNation that has a whole cardomain page dedicated to the leather upgrade.
personally i don't understand why if people want leather, they don't just get an SE or XLE.... by the time you spend all the money reupholstering the seats, you could have just upgraded to the SE or XLE... makes more sense to me...

Exactly! I wouldn't waste the time or the money. I would just get a different car next time around. That was just one of the reasons I traded in my LE and upgraded to an XLE. Leather with heated seats.
