what will Toyota dealer charge to install Camry wood steering wheel from Japan?

When I got the '07 Camry wood steering wheel from Toyota of Japan, I installed it
by myself within half an hour. (my steering wheel came off quite easily) This was
when my car only had 30 miles on the odometer.

Yesterday, the post office delivered a second Camry wood steering wheel from the
Toyota dealer in Japan. (should have paid extra for express mail, as it took 15 days
with regular air parcel shipping from Japan to US) I ordered this for my friend's '07
Camry. Today I brought the wheel to his house.

After trying and trying, I was unable to remove the original steering wheel from his
Camry. We both tried for 40+ minutes and gave up.... the wheel just won't come off.

I do not want to continue trying because I don't want cause any damages. His '07
Camry already has about 22000 miles on it....

If I take it to the Toyota dealer and ask them to remove the old steering wheel and
put on the Toyota Japan steering wheel, what will they charge for the labor?(just a
ballpark figure before I call them to make an appointment)

Thanks!

probably an hours worth of labor. So $60~90 dollars? But they might take them 2 hours, so maybe double that?

are you kidding me? dealerships always rape you... i had my steering wheel installed at a private shop, and they charged me $125... i'm sure at a dealership it would be at least double that, if not more so you'd be looking at about $300....

I stopped by a Toyota dealer early this morning... the service advisor told me it will
only take 1/2 hour, but they have to charge me 1 hour of labor, which is $90. Made
an appointment to have it done on Saturday. (so both my friend and I can be there)

Use a puller to remove the wheel. $20 for a cheapo at the part store.

Wow, I guess you should have checked your behind when you left the "private" shop.
