Gen5 KEY STUCk

hey i cant PULL MY KEY OUT!!! my key wont come out i can drive it around but i cant pull the darn thing out. tried everything from WD40 to beating on the stering wheel. . . nothing. took it to the dealer and he couldnt get it out. wanted to charge me 350 to change the whole cyclinder . . . as of now key still stuck. . . any advice on what to do ? thanks.

my friends 04 xle hhad this problem. he eventually got it out though. a temp solution til you get it out is just leave it in there and use the keyless. i know people that do that anyways..

yea just upgrade ur insurance and deal with it until it either gets fixed on its own or gets stollen. either way ur gunna end up with a working new car.

If you manage to get the key out inspect it closely. It could be bent or damaged. If not, the lock cylinder itself is damaged.

A locksmith usually has much better pricing. Try giving them a call.

I had my whole lock cylinder replaced on my old '95 Corolla when I couldn't get my key in for around $80.
