i found this guy on car domain and hes freaking nuts. this stereo install is crazy. he modified a alpine unit face plate leds! the door sound proofing job was incredible and definitly plan on copying his technique when i replace my factory speakers. its worth a check out:

well it looked like he was using the sound proofing material inside of the door where the window is stored when rolled down. i havent looked in my door so i dont know how much room there is in there. just wondered.

i had some minor issues when i deadened my honda accord doors. i had some 8" midbass in the doors mounted on a 3/4 MDF baffle like the one on that cardomain page. i ended up using a spray deadener and ended up with too many layers lol. my doors were so heavy they started to sag (also because of having 8" midbass in there) and my windows started to roll up a bit slower. I had to shave off a layer of the spray on deadener.
