5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I'm back! Does anyone even remember me? Probably not. :)
LIke the title says, I'm back. Having sold my last '07 Camry to buy a new Dodge Magnum, I thought I was gone from Toyota forever. However, a real world 12 mpg mixed with a 100 mile daily commute do not mix, and so the Magnum was sold last week, making me (according to the salesperson) the owner of the first 2008 Camry in Cincinnati. I'm still waiting for the fanfare and endorsements for that accomplishment, but as of today, nothing.
Anyway, nothing fancy, just an LE in aloe green.
That's all, just wanted to say hi.

May I ask why you sold the 07 Camry in the first place. I bet you have taken quite a hit thru all of the car swapping. Nice to have you back!
I"m kind of embarrassed to admit it now, but I was brought in by the Hemi power. The Magnum had great pick up, and with intake and exhaust sounded like a freaking monster, which led directly to real world gas mileage of just over 12mpg.
Yes, I lost quite a bit of money, but I intend to keep the '08 for a very long time, so it'll take care of itself. Just chalk this one up to young ignorance, I guess.

Aloe Green is a beautiful color. If I could afford a new Camry, that would probably be one of my top choices (along with Blue Ribbon). Congrats on your new Camry!

Nice. I can definitely understand where you come from.
I just traded my Audi S4 for a 07 V6 LE.
Although the S4 and the Dodge is quite different, but I was also attracted to the V8 and speed and all that...after 6 month, that's enough. BTW, my commute is only 56 miles a day. Enjoy.
Yup, I did. I'm not embarrassed to admit it, either. That's half the battle right there. Thanks for the welcome back, guys. I thought maybe I would be banished for leaving Toyota, even temporarily.
