5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Well, as I mentioned earlier, I bought a new '08 aloe green Camry. I had an '07 that I bought last year for my 28th birthday, but then I sold it and bought a Dodge Magnum R/T. I hated getting only 12 mpg, so last Friday, I got the '08. Sorry, but this is the only pic I have of it so far. I think I'll keep this one for a while.
And just for fun, here's the Magnum. I kind of wish I'd kept it just as a second car. This is right after taking it to the carwash, so it's abnormally clean in the picture.

License plate info: Most states, including California, issue the normal passenger car and truck plates to the vehicle, not the owner. Therefore, the plate stays on the car when you trade it, and in California there is no requirement to replace the plate after a specific period if it is still useable, hence the few older cars running around with yellow on black 1963 plates tend to command a premium just for the old license plate. Ohio and Nebraska are two notable exceptions and there could be others I'm not thinking of right now. Specialty plates such as personalized and amateur radio are issued to the owner in all states and go with the owner, not the vehicle.
