Australia Gen5 Dash Swap

I was wondering if I could swap the dash between my Gen 5 and a Gen 5 SE? I like the silver finish of the SE's dash I would think this should be a straight swap since they both look the same other than the silver finish.

Taking a stretch, I doubt I could get the dash of a Gen 6 to fit my Gen5?

Why not swap it out for a Gen5.5 SE? Or are those ones not compatible?

I would think the Gen 5 and SE models use the exact same dash, just different color schemes.

Good point Geoff, however, after finding out how much a brand new SE dash is going to cost, I have decided to "put it on the back-burner" for now unless I can find one in good condition at my local wreckers. I was quoted AUD$1096 for a brand new one

Ouch! I would check out the local junkyards and see if theres one there, although I kinda doubt it.

are u looking to swap the whole dash or just the silver accents suchh as the climate/gauge cluster?

because all gen 5 dash parts are interchangeable between the models (LE, XLE. SE)....the gen 5.5 dash is different however, as it uses a revised center console and optitron lighting gauge cluster that to my knowlage would be a tremendous electrical nightmare to transplant onto a gen 5.

Hi CorCamrySE..I basically want to get that silver finish look on my dash. Will be visiting my local wreckers/junkyard this coming weekend to see if I can find any Gen 5 SE dash. Transplanting the Gen 5.5 SE dash sounds like a nightmare with the Optitron instrumentation although it would look good
