Has anyone pulled-in too close to a curb that made you scratch your front bumper? It happened to me today when pulling-in to a parking space! Good thing the scratches are underneath the bumper. It was a raining so I couldn't tell how far I was from the curb. I hated myself for that!

Curve? I'm assuming that you mean curb.

Nope. Both of my cars will easily hit any curb if I pull too far ahead so I'm always cautious.

Alot of people do it though. It's becoming more common as cars get lower all the time.

I always end up not pulling in too much with my rear sticking out of the parking space lol. Then I get out and measure how much to pull up and correct myself.

I line the curb up with the bottom of the driver mirror. When I do that I'm set up perfectly. You need to park you car where there is still enough room between the car and the curb. Then as you sit in the car compare the location of the curb to some point of your car. Do that several times to make sure that you are always sitting and looking the same way. That works for me.

Whenever I angle park (not often), I tend to scrape the curb since my car is lowered. But so far all the scratches have been underneath so you can't see them unless you look under the car.

I pulled into a parking spot last night and my wife could see the curb from her vantage point better than I could... I was confused when she shouted "Watch out!", but when I realized why, it all made sense. And I'm not even on lowering springs (yet)!

Just found some curb rash on my SE front lip! Fiance is the only one that drives the car and she is not too cautious when it comes to parking! (she is one of those gabbers always on the cell phone while driving and I have warned her several times) I was being a nice future husband today and decided to wash her car for her (you know women!) when I realized some bumper rash underneath the front lip! I was like great! Plus this is the second time this month she has gave our vehicles some bumper rash! I also own a 01 Maxima with body kit and lowered on Teins! I am always cautious when driving and parking and always checking my clearance on curbs and so forth! Well she drove my Maxima the other day and I noticed a nice long bumper rash on my front lip of the Max! I knew right away what happened and her response was " I didn't know, and I wasn't aware that I scraped something while parking" I said of course not, you were probably jibber jabbing away on the phone again while driving! Sorry about the venting! But it just seems like every vehicle I try to keep at least in good to maybe excellent shape, there is always something! So now I have my 01 Max (former show car) and our 07 SE with some lip rash! Maybe it's time to just get the fiance a Yaris!

I used to have the same problem with curb rash on wheels. Not anymore. Nobody drives my cars but me.

or just line up your mirrors, though keep an eye out the other guy may have backed in too far himself..
