Ebay grill

Has anyone bought this grill from ebay? If so, how did it fit?

Mike

if you're keeping it stock, i kinda like the 05-06 grille better (to go along with the new bumper/headlights) are you swapping the taillights?

Not swapping the taillights just yet. I thought I would try the grill out because it needs to sanded and painted anyway. I was going to do it all at one time.

Even if the fit is a little off I can do the modifications to the grill while I am doing the rest of the body work.

Thanks
Mike

Don't waste your money on this... There are guys on this forum that bought this and have regretted the decision. Next time use the search function, there are several threads about this already.

i have the rs grill. not great fitment, but i made it fit, looks awesome and i dont regret it.

it has a larger gap along the bottom where the grill meets the bumper, not noticeable but i know it's there. someone on here added rubber to hide it where i couldnt be bothered.

also the grill had a different curvature than what my hood wanted. i had to forcefully add more curve to it. what i did you ask: i started tightening the inner nuts from center outwards. I heated up the grill with a torch ever so carefully to allow the grill to bend without cracking. what can i say, im a bit of a handy guy but if torching doesn't work for you, buy something else.

Now i think this happened to me because i have a japan made '02. after installation, i read the grill info and it was labelled: for '03s and up. it is possible that the curve on a japan made '02 is different than the US made '03s. if you are '03 and up, u might be ok.

i'm talking about this rs grill. i bought it off a different seller but here's a link to it.
