EG036-037 I4 TSB - Great Results

I just took my 07 SE I4 (purchased in June 07) in for it's first oil change and told the tech manager that the tranny just seemed sloppy. They applied this update, and it's good as gold. The car seems to have more power and shifts smoother and quicker. Before, it would hesitate to downshift into second gear if you were rounding a corner, it's much better now. Also, fixed the sloppy feel expecially when it's cold.

If anyone is thinking of getting this TSB applied, it worked for me!

I've got a PDF copy of this TSB, but I'm new to this board and this whole process. Any suggestions on how to get this out??

I'm glad that it worked for you.

Which dealer did you go to?

I bought the car at Toyota of Concord, but their service department is WAY TOO SLOW... It took them 2 weeks to finally fix the pre-delivery items before we took final delivery. The last thing they needed to fix was a grease streak on the sunroof visor (interior). Took it in, 6 hours later they said they were done. Went in to get it, they put on a external sunroof visor and hadn't fixed the grease streak... 6 hours and I had an appointment! Took another 6 hours for them to fix the interior....

Toyota of Lake Norman did the TSB. Did a great job, made an appointment, was in and out in less then 1 hour. Would have bought the car there, they just didn't have it on the lot.
