Gen6 Problems with stereo

Just wondering if anyone has had problems with their factory stereo system? Its happened three times this month. I cant recreate the problem but it seems to disappear when I turn the car off.

First time it happened was driving on the highway. The other 2 times was in the city. I managed to take a video of it but not sure how to upload it. But I do have a picture of it.

Should I be worried? Is this a glitch that can be easily fixed? Or should I bring it into the dealership?

The video shows the display going crazy and flashing weird symbols across it...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hk4i8Mwzku8

heres some more info if it helps... the controls on the steering wheel works. I can change the song, stations, adjust volume and even turn it off... but the screen still flickers and shows weird symbols until the car turned off and then back on

I've never seen that before... Sounds like you need a new stereo.

I had the same problem, the dealer replaced the head unit in the dash, no more problems.

that's why we bought new cars, to have a headache free couple of years, bring it to the dealer, let them worry about it. but smart move to capture the moment on film and picture, this way there's no problem to recreate the situation.

I had that happen about a week ago. Shut the car off and restarted it and everything returned to normal. Will keep a watch on it to see if it happens again.

My radio display screen has gone out 3 or 4 times while the car and radio or CD was on. The dealership is ordering me a new headunit. I was able to capture the incident on video using my cellphone, because I did not want to hear the dealership saying anything about not be able to fix it, because they could not duplicate the problem. I emailed the service department about the problem and attached my video.
