I am looking to find the "right" specs or suggestions for a set of 19's staggered rims on a 07 SE. I would like suggestions on what wheel width size (19x8, 8.5, 9,etc) and tire dimensions that will coincide with each other to the wheel offset thats perfect for it. I will lower it also with TRD spirngs. The look I want is a nice, smooth, & flush with a drop that has an oem appearance for example like the BMW 3 series whereas you can put just a single finger between the tire and the wheel well. Any suggestions from anyone is greatly appreciated. I'd like to go in depth with this as possible.
Being a diehard car enthusiasts, I believe staggered should only be for RWD cars or showcars who needs that extra lip. Going staggered, you're going to create more undsteer in your car. For FWD application the wider wheels should be upfront. This allows increase grip at the front and allow more rotation of the rear since FWD cars have horrible understeer already. RWD cars run a staggered setup to inhibit oversteer. If you are going to run staggered on a FWD car, you are not going to be able to turn well at all, especially if your driving wheels have a smaller contact patch than your rear wheels.
I too agree with Epsilon. Placing a staggered setup on a FWD car is a bad idea unless the larger contact patch is in the front.
Just to give you an idea of what would sit flush... I am running 19x8.5 with a +42 offset and 245/35/19 tires. Tires sit reasonably flush with the fenders. I could of probably fit a +40 offset and still had no problems. I havent yet dropped my car but I am giving it some serious thought.

I love the staggered look myself, but I can never drive or park my car somewhere wondering if other car enthusiasts are pointing at my car wondering why I'm going staggered on a FWD.
I'm currently looking at some VIP wheels. But who knows, I might change my mind again.
Thanks for the reply's everyone. One question though, are there specific limitation for the offset that coincide with the width of the rim?
Rerod - do you have any pics of your setup by chance?
To all - any suggestions on a set of rims that has a good size of a lip and that is NOT staggered?
Keep the suggestions coming guys, I really appreciate it.
My 20"x8.5 offset +38 have a very good size of lip and they are NOT staggered. Check out my car site in my signature for closer look of the wheels. They fit pretty tight to the wheel well without a drop on 245-35-20 tires.

I like your suggestions. As for as my preference, I want black/gold rims with a good sized polished/chrome lip. 5 spoke, multi spoke, mesh, tuner wheels, vip wheels are good. 19x 8.5 - 9.5 if availible. Budget is about 2500. Those HRE's are awesome but those are too rich for my blood.
