I need advice on Rims

wsup man I m trying to fix up my Camry but not really trying to go sporty on it. I Want a stylish / luxury feel. I dont know how to explain it. I m getting the woodgrain sent in the mail and getting a deck with a screen.

I m thinking about getting rims after that but the problem is that
I heard Rims are bad for cars. Also what type of rims does anyone advise for the look I want. I wanted Chrome but I heard those are bad for vehicles

Who told you rims are bad for cars??? If you do it right (correct fitment) there is not a thing wrong with rims or chrome rims. To start out here is a few web sites you can look and learn.
www.tire.com
www.tirerack.com
www.1010tires.com
www.wheelnext.com
www.wheelmax.com
I'm sure there are more websites but those are a few websites for you to put in your vehicle it will show you what fit.

Rims are not bad for cars. I don't know where you heard that, but it's possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard.

So long as you have the correct size, you're set.

As to chrome rims, you're in Texas so you don't need to worry about snow/salt. Go for the chrome rims, but make sure you wash them and take care of them. Otherwise, they will look ugly fast.

Edit: I'm very curious as to the reasoning behind "rims are bad".

Well. I ve heard all kind of crap from suspension to Transmission problems it can cause. The thing is also Texas has a lot of damn Pot holes. Main thing that bothered me was that someone said I have to drive real chill so it dont mess up the car or the rims. I just like to drive. I dont haul ass but I dont want to have to always be driving worrying about messing up the car or rims you know what I mean

I was thinking of just getting 17's or 18's

Go 18's with a bit higher profile tire and you'll be fine. As for the style that's personal choice.

I really wanted Chrome. Nothing to fancy but stylish like slow easy riding (pimping)
I want a luxury look but financing it with beer money lol

You could post pics of rims you want if you would like an opinion from everyone.

I currently running 18"x7.5 with 235-45-18 tires on my 07 Camry. You are safe with the 18" because those Lexus are running with 18" also.

Here is the link to the 18" rims.
My new wheels
I got these 18" for the comfort when I go on long trip vacation with the wife and kids. I still have my 20" rims as a daily driving. After I lower the TRD springs (should come in about 2 weeks) if the 20" rims have problem with rubbing then I will sell the 20".
