ok first of all understand that i was a complete novice walking into this. i couldnt have told you the difference between a constant power wire and a switched accesory wire. i knew nothing. time it took to open, wire and install head unit: 25 30 minutes tops. time it took to open, and wire the swi-x steering wheel interface: 35 to 55 minutes tops. time to connect the video bypass system: 5 minutes. time it took to get the dash kit to an ACCEPTABLE (not what i wanted, but acceptable) finish that i painted: one and a half weeks! it was a major learning experience and all in all im happy with the finish on the dash kit. note: the "crud" thats noticable inbetween the 2 dash kit parts on the pictures with a flash is not noticable to the naked eye. in the day or dark. just showed up in the flash pictures. first time i saw it. pardon my language, but FUCK THESE DASH KITS!!!! i mean it really makes me angry that there is absolutly no type of options when buying aftermarket dash kits. for any car that im aware of. theres maybe 2 or 3 companies that make them and they are all equal pos'. which is why i went through so much trouble of painting this one. i wanted to get it close to the look of the factory radio finish. i.e. super glossy black. the macro shots show every little defect in the paint, it actually looks quite nice in real life. ill upload some pictures in the day time tomorrow (not that anyone cares but me! lol) pictures:
side note: i do not like little wayne. it was the only mp3 cd i had to test the unit.
