5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I am thinking of trading in my 07 LE I4 Camry for an SE I4. It has 1935 miles on it. It has leather, side molding, mudguards and auto dimming mirror. Any ideas how much I can get for it as a trade in? The car is in excellent condition.
if you're gonna trade it in, you may as well trade it for a 6... either way you're gonna absorb some of the cost, so why not upgrade while you're at... it seems pointless to me to trade in one 4 for another...

I'm guessing it's going to cost you probably about $5k to make a trade in on a new SE (with leather)...if you can find a used SE with low miles or one without leather, you may get that number down a bit.

id jump to the v6 if I was gonna go for a trade in. the main differences between the SEi4 and the LEI4 would be cosmetic outside of the suspension and wheels.
I had really wanted an SE model but at the time it was hard to find one and the wait was 3=4 months in my area so I settle and got the LE.
For the cost of used LE I4 to new SE I4 I would keep your LE I4 buy the bodykit like Epsilon has, changed the grille to SE grille (ebay), buy foglight also from ebay. Lower it with TRD springs with 18" rims then you got yourselve a gorgeous Camry, don't you think?

+1. he can also find that bodykit on ebay. i believe it's called the Naristo kit.
Check KBB for trade-in value. You lose the most money after it's been driven off the lot, so your looking at probably a $2-5K lost, depending on the dealer.
If you want to trade them in though, I agree with the others, get the SE V6 as well so you dont trade it in again later.
Thanks guys for the great input. Like I said, my heart was set on the SE but I couldnt wait to get a new car so I settled. The day I was purchashing I got into a demo SE on the lot and fell in love with it. There is an SE that parks on my block once in a while and it just keep bothering why did I settled, I should have waited and got the car of my dreams. It's the same metallic color I wanted as well.

I will be looking for a bodykit tomorrow.
Epsilon....Where did you get your bodykit?
If you like the SE look then you should go with the SET bodykit. Click on this link to go to the thread "bodykit" Body Kits Camry 07
