Why not just buy an intake that's already out for your application?

I already have that in mind, I went to Pep Boys yesterday and they told me of a K&N factory that also retails parts in Torrance. This was basically just to increase a bit of knowledge

It seems that the factory intake worked much better, huh?

you probably removed the maf (mass airflow sensor) from the oem intake....it has its own little bong into the intake tract.....my removing this, your engine will not run correctly as it throws off the computer
replace the stock intake or get an aftermarket unit with a maf bong and you should be set

Thanks for the input, TRD its actually working now and that flowmaster no longer sounds like a flowmaster, i'd have to do a drive by clip so you can see what i mean...sounds 10x's better...

CorCamrySE what I did was fit the sensor on the Sceptre part but turn the sensor so that that thing that looks like a resistor inside is in the direct flow of air...its working perfectly...Im thinking about a K&N or Weapon R for a permanent change
