5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
You'd like to think that but it's far from the truth.
I'd be mad as hell to get a little resistor in the mail.
To tell you the truth, I wouldn't be surprised if some, if not many of your sarcastic comments in this forum lead less informed readers in the wrong direction. To forum regulars and people with automotive intelligence, like the majority of the regulars, it is easy to spot your sarcasim. However, a lot of uninformed readers might take your remarks seriously.

Actually, there was very little sarcasm.
I would be mad if I bought a "chip" and got a crappy resistor. No sarcasm in that.
The poster would have like to thought the he was the only one that fell for it, but as my reply states, it's far from the truth. Just look at the number of people who have purchased the items on eBay.
You'd have to be pretty stupid to think that my response was endorsing that product.

back to the topic at hand, im sure there are a number of people that fell for these tricks and scams. if people didnt fall for them, you wouldnt see them advertised everywhere. i just think it takes a lot for people to confess they fell for it.

+1 Scarcasm was not there. Humor was there!

I agree.
At the racetrack I see alot of uninformed ricer types using those things.
Many people don't know better and believe in the scam.
This is the first time that I've seen someone actually say that they did fall for it. Someone else will probably read this thread, go out to their car and remove it, then come in and laugh at the original poster.

Yeah, I actually had been hyping up that "chip" and had it sent to my friends house while I was OT, and had a hard time explaining that the "chip" was in that envelope...
Yeah, I wonder if those are all employees giving seller feedback that the chip worked, with dyno shown 27hp+...
Anyone ever try the gas savers? The magnet you attach to your fuel line?

If you fall for a fuel saver...
Ugh...
I don't even know what to say.
EDIT: If you're a complete idiot this post is filled with sarcasm. Please don't think that I'm endorsing the fuel saver. I'm not. Sorry if I confused anybody with the sarcasm in this post.
