Is $23,700 too much for Japan built 07 Camry XLE V6?
Is $23,700 too much for Japan built 07 Camry XLE V6 w/ leather?
It does not have any other options. Other than a couple of minor scratches on the rear bumper, it is in very good condition. Interior is nearly new. It also has professional tinting done.
I would say its a bit high considering you should be able to get a new 2008 with identical options for around $28,000. I think 18,000 miles and some minor scratches would depreciate the car more than $4,000. IMO

They specifically stated 'Japanese built' in their ad?
No, the VIN number started with letter 'J'. I don't think most people know about the difference. According to KBB, the asking price is in line with average retail price.
KBB puts the trade in value of that car in "good" condition (scratches on bumper) at $19,660.00
Go see the car, test drive it, tell them how much you like the car, then tell them you won't buy unless you get it for under $20,000 out the door. If they won't deal, walk out (or try to). That would be the only way I'd get that car.
the XLE model in USA with zero miles on it sticker price is 31.500 with most of the options - i guess like navigation, leather 4 cd changer with mp3 csapability, moon roof power seats heated leather seats pbs, i bought mine for 29,500 but with a tax of 6 or 7 % it added up to 31500, i think that price is veru reasonable.
good luck any ways

I just searched for a Camry XLE V6 with 18,000 miles on autotrader.com and I couldn't find anything even near $23,700. They were all over $25,000. I'm sure you can get it a little cheaper from a private seller but most retailer are selling XLE V6s for much higher than $23,700.
