5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
You're going to be really happy with your decision I suspect.
Now you just need to get some Gen 5.5 taillights, wheels, and a grill.
I'm keeping the tail lights, but am thinking of a new grill, my uncle has the diamond mesh up at the cottage, so i'm going to ask him for it. and i'm saving up over the winter for new wheels in the spring/beginning of summer!
Reason i'm not rushing for new wheels is the wheels were brand new when i bought the car a year ago.
I know there's different opinions on what to do here. But should i get an alignment right away? (being the alignment shop is right beside where i'm getting them installed) or should i wait a few weeks for them to settle? (i might have to do this anyway til i get another paycheck).
Any settling of the springs will not affect the alignment specifications significantly. If it did auto manufacturers and racing teams would really have a hell of a time getting cars aligned.

That's what i thought the answer would be, thanks for the reassurance
Aside from possibly lowering the car, what do aftermarket springs do?
stiffens up the ride for better handling. Though may not be too noticeable being that i have an SE and it's pretty solid now. I have a lot of twist turns going up to the cottage, can't wait to see how much better the handling is.
