Can everyone help me convince my wife that the JBL system is worth the difference in $ compare to the stock system. Probably will get the classic silver also thinking about the navagation system . One step at a time.
Well i got the JBL system in my 07 Camry and i say it is well worth it. My uncle also wanted the JBL system in his 07 Highlander so he payed an extra $700 at the dealer and so he was expecting it to be JBL, but instead, Toyota had a third party installer who put in a crappy aftermarket system made by diamond audio and it's only four 6 1/2s and an amp. They didn't replace the head unit nor the little tweeters in the door. Believe me it is well worth it. Compared to that aftermarket the JBL sound is much more superior. I have it and i don't regret it, I also threw in an additional bandpass box to make the car shake. LOL. Have your wife sit in a car with the JBL and one w/o the JBL.

The JBL system is definately better- but you have to ask yourself the question: Is it worth $700? (Or whatever the price is).
For $700, you can do much better by going aftermarket- although it may not look as clean as the JBL system. (depends on the quality and look of whatever aftermarket system is used)
Like 95CamryV6Le says, you should test drive a car with and without the system, and then choose if the JBL system is worth it. Keep in mind you are also getting an In-dash CD changer with the JBL system.
i can't tell you anything about the JBL system, but what ever you do you don't want the stock system. i have the stock system and i must say it sounds like sh!t. headunit and speakers will be one of my first upgrades.
also just to let you know how bad it sounds. my girl friend has a toyota yaris and her upgrade sounds better than mine big time.
It's a good set of speakers, but way overpriced. For half that price of the JBL's, you can get some great quality speakers.
I have the JBL speakers, its pretty good, but definitely not worth the preminum. If I had to do it over, I'd invest that $700 or so into a much nicer setup.
