2002 Factory Service Manual?

What's the best source for 2002 Camry Factory Repair Manual?

I see a few items floating around on fleabay, but they are $135 plus shipping.. not a deal.

^that or try the sticky at the top of "general camry discussion". best of all, its free! unless you want a paper copy instead of a digital... i suppose you could print out the digital.

one day it's here; the next day it's gone.

fortunately, i've downloaded what i need - did that a few weeks ago after they supposedly resolved their IE download problems.

out of curiosity, i just returned from a test drive at that forum and lo-and-behold....ya can't get the gen 6 manuals.....again.

perhaps it's my POS dial-up, bit i rather doubt that.

i commend these folks for putting up electronically what would cost $300-$400 in hard-copy form.

unfortunately, its just a mater of time b4 toyota pulls the plug on this site. car mfgs. get a bit miffed when you offer doc that's "current" for "free".

get it while you can folks 'cuz da man he be comin'.

I'm currently working on a mirror site for the manuals, I have Gen 2, 3, 4 manuals so far. As for Toyota closing down the site... I would say they couldn't do anything regarding the manuals, but rather for having "Camry" in the domain as they would have more of a chance of getting them to at least give up the domain, but I'm not 100% sure if Toyota own "Camry" as a trademark.

toyota charges $$$ at their tech site for the manuals. someone pops up and offers them for free. guess what happens?

don't misunderstand me. i'm glad people are putting up these sites.

it's similar to one downloading music for free. the artist isn't happy about that and toyota or whoever made the car isn't happy either.

i have seen countless sites like camrymanuals.com shutdown for providing "current" doc.

like it said - get it while you can.

all it takes is the wrong guy to notify toyota and it's over.

The stuff on .com is nice but doesn't replace hard copy, because you often have to use it while working. At the very least, it should be printed and binded.

for me, the electronic format has the advantage of being able to print only what i need for a task. this way i don't have to wrestle with a 20 lb. book while my hands are dirty. i can tape the 5 or 6 page print out to the garage wall in chronological order.

hate gettin' those $300-$400 hard copy sets dirty.

just my 2 cents.
