5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Right now im looking around to find a new car and ive decided on the camry (currently a lexus owner), ive driven an 07 SE V6 and i REALLY liked it, after looking on toyota's website it says that in 07 the LE and XLE both came with the 5-speed auto. and the SE was the only one with the 6-speed. Now looking at the 08's it shows that all the V6's (LE,SE,XLE) come standard with the 6-speed, is this true????? also ive read about the tranny problems, was this on the 5-speed only or on the 6-speed also?????
Ive decided i want either a silver or blue '08 SE V6 with black cloth and Premium audio (with sirius) i just have to look around for one and get a dealer thats willing to cut the best deal.
Also i noticed the hybrid has different tail lights with LED's, are they a straight bolt on for an SE??
Dont mind njerald, hes the forum "give the new guys a hard time guy"
As for the LED tails, You would have to purchase the rear taillight harness for them to be "Plug and Play" the tails and harness are not cheap by the way.

Thanks for clearing that up, i guess toyota was just mistaken on their site.
Anyone heard of a TRD supercharger/turbo upgrade for the v6???(like they have for the scion) so far the only things i can find performance wise are Exhaust and a K&N CAI but thats minimal HP gains at best. a 300+whp camry would be awesome.
Most upgrades for the IS350 should fit onto the gen6 Camry's as well, but nothing too powerful yet, other then exhaust and intake of course. Our engine bays don't have much room for a turbo/supercharge thats going to be a easy bolt on.

Would love to have that supercharger in my SE V6. However the front and back valance on that TRD Aurion reminds me of an old man wearing black socks with sandals.
