my 07 se nose dives badly

One time going downhill, it felt like the front end scraped the road! I applied the brakes pretty hard though. Now, i'm afraid to hit the brakes too hard when going downhill. Anybody else experience this?

just this past weekend i got a pretty large rash on my driver side lip, it looks horrible but i dont know what to do, should i get it painted or not? i might have to take the bumper off so if i do have to get it painted, i might swap the headlights for the retrofits posted in the other thread, probably along with some yellow fogs since winter is coming.

Why don't you check the underside of your front lip and see if you really scraped. Most people are really suprised how much body roll and suspension travel occurs at the handling limits of cars. I'm betting you were hearing the front tires sliding.

+1

It's impossible for the front bumper to scrape the ground due to braking alone.
