Gen6 Key Fob

I see eBay has keys with remotes for the 07 Camry that are already ground. Anybody know if the key separates from the transponder so as to get a new key ground? I realize I would still need to have it programed. It would be nice to have a extra key.

It's my understanding that the Camry can only take signals from 2 unique keys, so a third one wouldn't work unless you "coded" it to be a clone of your existing ones?

Understanding is like opinions, everbody has them.

Your dealer can register the new key so you can have a third key.

The key itself does separate from the transponder.............

Well, I didn't answer a question with another question (or at least with a question mark).
