Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
What are the chances an insurance company will total loss a car if an airbag goes off? Pretty damn well from my experiences. Yet State Farm didn't, so that's the hand I've been dealt with. Wonderful...
33 days and still in the body shop. I hate DUI mother f*ckers. Maybe I should Larry H Parker his ass, but looking at the police report he has a lot worse coming to him than any lawsiut I can throw at him. DUI, no insurance, driving with a revoked license, failure to present insurance, fleeing at the scene of a crime...another jackass in the system.

An airbag only cost about 1,000 for a new unit and installation (for one), so I don't think it would be considered totaled. I hear ya, DUI'ers should be taken off the road, that is probably the dumbest thing they can do.

What 2007DarksideSE is saying is that when you get air bag deployment, the force of impact and damage to the vehicle including air bag replacement make the car a total. Sorry to hear of the accident. Hope everybody was okay.... at least in your car. But then again, it always seems the the drunk never gets seriously hurt.
Use your cellphones to fight these losers,if you see swerving or super aggressive driving, call em in.My brother in law had a couple of businessmen trying to get him to race on the freeway. They passed him repeatedly and when they saw he wasn't going for it they threw a beer bottlae at his car.He phoned the state police and sure enough he got to drive by them as they were being interogated on the shoulder. They could barely stand up.

That's the best way to handle those losers!

Imagine the entire right rear fender up tp the rear doors crushed in, the rear bumper off the car and the muffler, gas tank etc hanging from the bottom of the car.
I'm going to drive it for a few weeks before I decide wheter or not to sell it. Even if I do sell it since there was a police report it's bound to get a hit on Carfax, thus I won't get as much as I want. Might as well drive it as my commuter car.
airbag deployment will cost well over 1000. its probably a 1000 to install new ones. but you have to consider the dash, and your intire interior if the gas and smoke from them messes uup your cabin.
