Oil & Filter change, and tire rotation. Nothing more needed.

Oil and filter change, tire rotation, and a basic inspection. It's your first service so you want to make sure everything is OK.

You should have a maintenance guide that came with the car. It will tell you everything that should be done.

This info is on here if you just do a simple search of the archives. The dealer will turn it off when they change the oil. It first comes on occasionally at 4500 miles and then stays on at 5k miles. It is a good method or reminding you of the need for service.

You use the trip button to reset. It explains how to do it in the owners manual.

I had it changed at 1k and plan on changing every 3k. Just can't seem to buy Toyota's 5k plan. Lakeland Toyota has $12.95 plus tax oil and filter change everyday. I will still rotate tires every 5k.

Basically it's just an oil and filter change, and tire rotation. Granted you pay more at the dealership, but I think it's worth it just so you can show it to the next buyer if you plan on selling it, and if any warranty related even comes up.
