5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
i saw a review on motorweek (tv shon on speed channel) DAM I thought it was ugly! the front not to bad but the rear....... ugh. knowing that they have the same power as our V6's im sure ill get a challenge but nomatter the outcomes our cars still look better
I watched that too. Same thoughts went through my head. The sedan reminds me of the new Ford Taurus, kinda big and wide - something my grandpa might drive. The pictures of the coupe look nice, but in Car and Driver they said the coupe doesn't share any parts with the sedan.

Yeah my Honda dealer just got a couple in and I have to say that I kinda like the exterior. It's much nicer looking than the previous Accord, but still not as good looking as the Gen 6 Camry. The interior, ugh. I hate all those buttons and it makes performing certain functions harder than it should be.

a sedan passed me and sk8ersublime today when we were detailing our camrys...we bpoth commented on how ugly it was....its freaking hideous
the camry is, as it always has been, infinatly better than the accord
That kinda says it all, doesn't it? Slow pieces of junk with their top-heavy H's.
Honestly, I like that Honda has added a bit of style to this new generation, but they did it with too heavy a hand. A lot of pieces which don't necessarily fit.
Of course, you can say the same for any new car. When I saw the Gen6 Camry, I wasn't immediately as sold as I am, and now I love the lines of our cars. Maybe as the months go by, we'll learn to appreciate more of the Honda's styling.
In the meantime...

Compare to Camry's plastic interior, I definitely like Honda's interior material.
I don't like the single HUGE KNOB to control Nav. The 4 door sedan looks just horrible, but the Coupe is much nicer than the 4 door. Coupe has projector lights as you can find in all of our camry.
I've tested the 4 door V6, power wise, its the same like camry, but the ability to take VSA off is a plus for this car.
In summary,
Honda +:
* Manual 6 Speed
* COUPE version
* ECO mode --> nice technology to save gas ( not available on manual )
* Great Interior
* VSA - turn on/off
Honda - :
* No Touch start button (same old way to start the car)
* 5 Speed AT ???
* 4 dr back design just Horrible.
* 1 KNOB for everything, makes it not user friendly.
* No Projector lights for all Trim line
