I would only go to the dealer for things I know they are specialized in. A spring install can be performed by any good shop. That is evident by the large number of guys on here who have installed their own springs. The strut bar is a piece of cake. It will only take about 10 minutes if you are going really slow.

You already got raped a little on the cost of parts because if you search online you could get the springs and strut bar for less than $400 from a reputable Toyota dealership. Please do not get raped on the labor too.

I only payed $150 for my springs, but thats because I "bribed" some guys from TN here to come down and help me install them

Seriously though, the strut bar is extremely easy to do yourself, just get yourself a torque wrench. The springs are also fairly easy, just time consuming, it took us about 3-4 hours.

come on guys, i found a bunch of places that would do it for 150-200 CAD (which is now USD) to install. I still put them in myself as I enjoy that kind of work, i know i did it properly, and sure 150 is 150, for half a day's job taking my time, why not.

alignment is necessary, more so for saving your tires, but generally to keep your car driving straight and levelled. it's not an emergency if you don't do it immediately, just get it done soon. Alignment can be done anywhere, from any half ass shop to the dealer itself.
