I think it's actually the Mark X that can be found in Asia. It's a very nice car and it does have a Lexus price tag as some Asian countries do not have the Lexus brand/division.

I remember back when my family lived in Japan between 1993 and late 1996, we would love it when we rented a Toyota Mark II.
They had them with like 2L and 2.5L engines if I recall correctly. It was actually a very stylish and well-performing sedan back then.
Here's what the Mark II looked like in the mid-90s.
