hm i think a wood box would be better. probably alot cheaper and easier to make.

well it depends on what you want with the fiber glass. Maybe a stealthy box that takes up a certain area of your trunk ?

Fiberglass is way better, but cost a bit more, Make the base of the box with mdf and then fiberglass it, i got 2 custom fiberglass box in my 2002 camry le trunk, it save a lot of space, and yeah, fiberglass weight less

really just depends on how much you want to spend and how "custom" u want to go. Fiberglass cost much more than a regular mdf box.

Unless you build the fiberglass up super thick, MDF will be more solid and sound better too. You can always do a mix of the two. Build the main structure and flat areas from wood, and then smooth out and add some curves with fiberglass overtop of it.

yeah sorry for the double post....

i was leaning towards fiberglass just because i want a smooth more custom look. that link i showed on the original post has fiberglass boxes...but they are way expensive. I saw the same things on ebay from a dealer for around $200.00.
