hey i like the blue lights on ur gen6. Where did you place the LED? Also if you got the time do you want to do a DIY for it? that would be awesome.
Hey i just placed the LED in my little cubby. I used some doubled sided tape. I hooked it up to the dome light in my video as a demo. I usually have the light on when ever i turn the onto ACC or On. I just wired it right into my fuse box under the steering wheel.
i like the pure white LEDs
i know adam (asg14) did this on his gen 3....its pretty sweet, esp with the gen 3 XLE's dimming feature, so instead of just shutting off, they sort of fade to darkness....its dope
When i did the search i did not see any DIYs for this...
Yea i want to change the color, if its even possible to get that panel off since it so close to the airbags....
if they are anything like the scions.. on each side of the steering wheel is a torx bolt. 2 total. before u do this.. i would remove the neg side battery and wait like 2 mins. once u get those two torx out.. the center air bags comes out and u can disconnect the bag from the wheel . once u can see inside.. u will see a screw for each side that holds that panel to the wheel..
now as far as changing the colors.. i never opened one up so.. but this should at least get you inside too see what u can do
wow, that looks awesome. just a few questions though. first i was wondering if you could post a detailed DIY maybe with some pics as to what you did. Second, i was thinking that i would have it so there are two sets of lights ones like the white ones that come on when you open/unlock the car. and maybe blue mood lights that are on when the interior lights/dash lights are on? any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
