Well my doorbell rings this morning. And what do I find? A pretty long brown box with a wonderful TRD sticker on it. Strut brace is beautiful. Installing today, pix to come.
So pretty. Makes a decent amount of difference. But goddamn that powder coat paint in the screw holes was annoying. Had to scrape a lil off so it would fit.
That's the next thing I gotta do. I'll prolly do it tomorrow. My friend has an 03 accord and we're cuttin the plastic ribs out of his fogs so he can have better airflow into his intake. That'll take a lil while, then engine cleaning!
I wonder if you don't have some structural damage to your car due to the fact that it was difficult to install. You might want to look into that. I've yet to see one that didn't just drop on easily. Hotchkis is very high quality and I've never heard on anyone that's ever had to do anything when installing their parts.
Again, it looks great. You made the right choice, there is no doubt about that.
Now all we need is a TRD bar that looks like that for the Gen 6...or anything from TRD for the gen 6 for that matter!
Actually that strut took about 5 mins to install. Socket wrench and 4 nuts off. Place bar on, forcing it so it takes off the powder coat cuz its so damn annoying. Then replacing the nuts. All done. Makes a diff. Took it on some fun roads near my house. It does its job and I LOVE IT

It's very noticeable.
I sure did notice the flex in the rest of the car after I installed mine. I wish that someone would make some subframe connectors.
