Thanks lammydi for your concern. Saddest thing is that we are in a school zone and max speed should of been 15. I am pretty sure they were going a lil faster

Was it a teenager or an older lady?

The damage looks pretty rough, but look how well the cabin held up.

Granted it's not a high high speed accident, but it's pretty significant. Looks maybe 40mph+.

So what's gonna happen next? Are you using rental or do the insurance just gonna paid out because it's totaled?

Wow, that's alot of damage. She had to be doing over 30 MPH if you were stopped. That's crazy.

I'm glad they you and your daughter are fine.

Are you going to get another Camry?

Thats the worst Gen 6 accident i've seen yet, I'm really sorry to hear it. And as others have said, it's great to hear that you guys are ok. What was the woman driving? Looks like she did a lot of damage..

And basically a follow up on what lammy asked, I know it may be a bit early, but do you know what the insurance company is going to do? I've always wondered what would happen if someone totaled my car, and if they give you a check for the current value of the car, the price of a new car, or if they just replace it.

I know you're probably going through a lot, but could you keep us updated?

I am not sure if I am going to get a rental just yet an adjuster showed be out tomorrow to see the car.
The lady who hit the car was maybe mid 20's or mid 30's. She even had two kids in the backseat. Which shocks me because it looked like she had a kid going to that same school so I do not know how she would of stopped.

Not sure what she was driving. I tried to get out of the car to see what exactly happened but as soon as I got out of the car I could not stand up straight and the witnesses all helped me back into the car. I have my 99 camry so I might just end up not getting a rental. Wife stays home usually the one taking the daughter to school but it ways my day off so I wanted to take her.

Holy shit! glad to see you are okay!! She mustve been driving an suv doing like 30mph!

After seeing this pic i now know im driving a really safe vehicle. If you think of it... You would be pretty safe in the back seat of this accident other than the glass. wow.

Hopefully you and your daughter are okay and dont get any long term back pain.
