moky I am so jealous of your offset. Makes me want some spacers. i am sitting on 19x8.5 +42
the front sits flush, the rears would need a spacer since for some reason i have camber on it. i do want to switch wheels, been thinking about this set ive seen 19x8.5 +32..that would make it hellaflush in front and the rear just right...
moky... That +32 offset would look hellaflush. I wish I had gotten 19x9 instead of 19x8.5. I thought about getting spacers but I wasnt shure how these would affect handling and overall stability. I sense no problems but I havent heard real life experiences yet.
CAMRY-SE... I hear ya about the roads. I live in NYC and the roads here suck just about all over. I am still sitting on 19s though because I know how to position my wheels so I dont suck up bumps. I also got wider tires so I can roll over some more bumps instead of dropping into them. Next step in 255/35/19 tires but they are "hellaeexpensive"

reprod - to go with 255/35/19, you might want to use a 9 inch wide rim.
camry_se - with regards to using 225/50 on the 17x8, you maybe can go with 235/45 so that the sidewall sits perfectly vertical. i use 225/50 on the 17x7 and it sits perfectly linear. this will help you avoid getting rashes or curb marks if your tires arent stretched.
yes on the stock 17" wheel, i used 225/50/17 and they look a lot better than the 215/55 and handles a tad bit better on the rain (since i got all weather tires instead of the traditional all season)
