infinity powered sub install (like anyone cares) pics. if u got 56k, kill yourself...
so im sure noone really cares but im bored and figured is post up pics of my install. this was pretty easy. cars just snap together.
rca wires:
heres my ground. i made sure to sand off paint from the chassis and the bolt i bolted it to:
where i went through the firewall. note: this isnt how i left it. i surround it with small rubber gromett then a foam material where its in contact with the firewall:
sub hooked up, but not bolted in. i took the wire cover half off so you could see thats where they connect:
final installation looked basically just like this except the wire cover is closed and the sub is about an inch to the left. i wanted to do a side mount but had issues with my rca cord length
very clean install as always.....like the remote controller in the ashtray! very creative
now drop your bitch and throw gen 5.5 SE v6 wheels on it....that would give u the looks to back up that system
Excellent work! May I just recommend that you attach the sub's feet for a horizontal position (sub pointing up) rather than the way it is now. Under harder manuevers, it DOES tip over.
I re-mounted the feet for horizontal today. Same sound - but no more tipping over.
I see my sub volume placement inspired you.
Johnnyzee, yes there is enough boom. If you wanna meet up sometime in Toronto I'll demo mine. It's a great all-in-one product. You won't have to deal with massive MDF boxes and separate amps this way. And this thing is relatively small for what it puts out.

and yazo, i dont need to do that. i bolted my sub down. just took the picture before hand.
im 29 and enjoy hearing mids and highs. so yea, theres plenty of bass, anymore than this and your officially "that dude". this has more than i need really.
and yea my 5.5 se is the only one ive seen with a cig lighter and ashtray. its weird. im sure there must be others out there, but i havent seen any. i actually like it way better. the big oversized compartment is unnecessary since nobody is gonna be stacking shit in there. unless you like keeping beer cans in there or something i dont see a reason for it to be as big as it is.

Nice install......BUT, I would have preferred a more built-in look instead of that powered sub blocking the pass-thru from the passenger compartment. You can have small enclosure built with a 8" sub and a small amp tucked away that would produce the same or better than one of those BassLink set-ups. I understand the money concern, this route may or may not cost more, but it's a space saver and looks better.
Here's a link to some of these enclosures, keep in mind these are made for Subarus...but this is essentially what I'm talking about...
This is the perfect place to add a custom enclosure, just remove the gallon jug holder on the left side (which I've used only twice in over a year!). I'm speaking about the Gen6, I don't know if the Gen5.5 is set up the same way.
