Hi all,
This is a quote I got from Championship Toyota in Houston:
2008 Camry LE for 22,090 plus tt+l. I haven't negotiated yet. This was just simply asking for the best price. I am assuming this is a stripped LE, but I will find out tomorrow about the specs/options. Kbb indicates that the invoice is 21,689 + 55 (for Gulf States)= 21,753. How much lower have you guys gotten? And is this a good deal?
Just for Comparo (These are new Accords):
2007 Accord SE V6:1268 miles and the price is $20753.00 which includes the window tint, door edge guards, paint seals(inside and outside protec tion against the elements) and protection pkg(wheel locks cargo tray and splash guards) plus tt+l.
2007 Accord EX-L V6: 1781 miles and the price is $24413.00 which includes the same accessories plus tax, title and license.
Might consider a 07 Camry Hybrid not sure yet. Oh yeah for you Houston buyers, if you want to piggy back my deals that I am trying to get just let me know I have no problem. I'll release the dealership/salepersons info. thru pm. I am here for info/help and will do the same in return. Or if you have a salesperson that makes good deals for both camrys or accords pls pm. Thanks
You should be able to get the 07 Accord SEV6 for less than $20,000 now...especially for one with that mileage. Mine was 19.7k + $500 of bundled accessories. This was over 2 months ago and it had <50 miles on the odo.
IDK if you're even looking at Accords, but you can PM me if you want to know who the guy was.
The amount you 'get off' is dependent upon what you are buying. There is retail markup on the car itself and each accessory. Aluminum wheels have markup. The higher the sticker price, the higher will be the potential discount. Go to kbb.com to see the wholesale prices for everything. Look at your regional dealer web page and build a car on line, minding the retail pricing and then compare what you have selected to the kbb prices and work from that point. For example, if the sticker price is 27000 you should easily get it for 25000, a two grand discount. Don't expect 2k if the sticker is 20500. That isn't going to happen.
Send emails to three local dealers requesting a quote for the exact car you want. You must include everything including color, moon roof, or whatever you have selected from the list of options. You will get an apples to apples price comparison. Disregard whether it is on someone's lot right now or not. You don't care. Don't settle for anything you don't want, and make sure you test drive both a V6 and I4 before making any decisions.

"People who think they know it all are particularly irritating to those of us who do."
I got mine for 21840+ttl. I think there must be some sort of factory to dealer incentive because they took my offer way too quickly. I offered 21800 and got the all weather mats at cost. They said they were breaking even to meet a quota. I don't exactly know if I believe that, but it seems like a good deal.
2008 Camry LE V6, silver, carpeted 5 pc. mat kit, all weather mats, and bottle of touch up.
Anyone know if there are any big dealer incentives on 08's?
BTW- The true invoice; invoice - holdback is 21225 for my car + the optional 5 pc mat kit msrp is $199, so probably ~$160 invoice. So they still got at least $400-500; still on the low end of profit for Toyota in my experience. I suspect there are dealer incentives.
The invoice they showed me said invoice price was 22267 due to regional "TDA" fees they "have" to pay. I have read conflicting info as to whether TDA fees are negotiable or not.

Not sure if there are any incentives on the 08's or even the 07's, but i do know the dealerships are having a hard time pushing sales. There isn't many people on the market for a car. It is also hurting resale value of the used car market. You still got a good deal. Did you get a good financing rate?
