Gen6 Anyone put black pearl emblems on their G6 Camry?

I'm looking for pics to see whether or not I want to do this mod. Preferably those with the Magnetic Grey Color. Thanks!

There is something nice about the look of those emblems, cutting back on the too-shiny look of chrome.

Oh, by the way... I'm not crazy about the "G6" terminology, if only because of the Pontiac by that name. No Camry should be burdened with a Pontiac label. This could all be avoided with two more key strokes, "en" between the "G" and "6".

If you do the mod, make sure to post pics!

I thought that Gold looked good on the Gen 3's with the dark green paint, but I think it looks pretty bad on the Gen 4/5.

longo toyota charges $180 for them.....

trdparts4u.com sells the chrome pieces for $50 and i've done black pearl on plastics before quite easily. if people are interested, i can do an order and make some for a fee (much less than these dudes at longo)

My question is: How involved is it to remove/reinstall them? I'm not too concerned with getting the chrome to black.

Anyone know how to make black chrome? My SE came with the black pearl and I didn't like it.

- Pop the trunk open
- Remove the carpet lining
- Remove some screws
- Push the emblem out
I did these steps when I black-out the background of my emblem.
