Angry Suggestion on what I should do with my Camry

Last Tuesday,
I was driving down the road, all the sudden my car got smashed from the right because a girl backed off from a driveway without looking first.
That's my 2nd time my car got hit. The first accident was very minor, but the 2nd one took from my front right passenger to all the way to rear bumper.
Funny thing is, the side airbag DID NOT deploy!
Anyway, my questions is should I or should I not sell my camry after I got it fixed?

I really appreciate your 2 cents.

Here come the dmg

I went to ABRA and they said, they will cut the back panel, and order a new one, order a new door and maybe order new side skirt.
No estimate yet, but that's the word from ABRA. Enterprise didn't have car to rent, and gave me a VAN instead.
Its just hilarious driving to work, and home with a VAN.

Just remember that although you might be getting your car fixed, you still lose out on the end, even if your car gets repaired due to the fact that its now on your car's history. IMO, consider it after you get the avg. estimates from various car shops.

I agree with desentrix. I would get some quotes from various dealers on what they would take, but obviously don't say your selling it because it was in an accident. Also, how many miles are on the car? If it's fairly low you may be able to sell it and not lose out too much, but if you have say, 20K miles on it, then you may lose out big time.

Would you get another Camry, or a different car?

I am thinking to get another Camry SE V6, or 08 TL type S manual.
Looking at the time frame i'm going to buy a new car, I think there will be a good deal on TL pretty soon.

How can you compare the two? You can't put enough into a SE V6 Cam to get it to come within $3k of a discounted TL. There is a used 2007 TL-S with 5k miles at a lot by my house for $34k. Perhaps a TL, but not the S-Type.

I'm comparing that I have to put another year of financing to get a TL or just another 4 months of financing to get another camry.

If you have 2 accident on your new car, what would you do wireless?

Cukong, my car got backed up into back in July, I had the door replaced and the majority of the driver-side of the car had to be painted/blended. I've thought what the paint will look like in a few years since it's obviously different from factory, and i've actually thought about trading it in, but I already have 10K miles on it and I've done quite a bit of work on it already, so I wouldnt want that all to go to waste either.

My car has had 3 accidents (one was self-inflicted) but only one has been reported thus far. I've also thought about paint issues and such but I always hear people telling me that my car looks good when I have it halfway clean.

I'm not worried about the looks of the car. I am worried if there will be a further damage caused by the accident.

What kind of damage would that be? A good body shop will warrent there work and fix anthing they goofed up. Maybe if you posted pictures with detailed descriptions we could give you a halfway decient answer to your original question.

Also, from your explanation of the accident, the air bags wouldn't deploy. You had a glancing scrape to the side of the car. The air bags only deploy with direct impact in the direction that the bag is on. That means the front bag will only deploy on a head on or almost head on accident. The side bags are for getting t-boned so your head doesnt smash against the side windows.

^Don't you also have to take the passenger side occupancy sensor into consideration too? I mean does anyone know if that works with the airbag causing it not to deploy if no one is in the passenger seat.

I know it effects the front passenger airbag from deploying, but i'm not sure about the side airbags.
