2009 Camry coming 3-2008

The new 2007 was released 3/2006 and ran for 1 1/2 years.

The 2009 will be shipped 3/2008. This car will be a carryover from the 2008 with no big changes

A "new Camry" will be introduced 3/ 2009 as a early 2010 model.

Looks like they wanted the 2009 year to run a full 12 months before the new designed 2010 comes out the spring of 2009.

Gen6

The "new 09 Camry" will boast a new 4 cylinder engine that is supposed to get a huge HP gain. This is all information that has trickled down from my dealership. Another rumor is that there will be a new model to add to the CE, LE, SE, XLE. My co-workers all believe it will be the TRD Camry. Who knows though?

I hope the new '09 model is a TRD Camry with the Asian look. If it is, I'll be getting one.

Not true the model numbers as of OCT 2007 for the 09 models are the same as 2008. Your dealership got them confused with the 09 Corollas which have different model numbers and 2 different engines. There will be a Corolla XLE.

the only model change they've made is dropping the designation CE from the entry level camry to just camry, similar to what they've done with highlander

That would be 2009 and 2010 Camry, don't you think? Then 2011 would be Gen7? Eventhough I bet you in March 2010 you will see 2011 Camry cruising around just like the 2007 Camry did back in March 2006.
