Gen6 remove spoiler?

Hi,
Can the rear spoiler on an 08 camry be easily removed without issue. A local dealer thought it was applied with double sided adhesive and could come off without problem. I would have guessed it was a bolt on and would leave holes to deal with. Does anybody know for sure? Are spoilers attached at the factory or are they applied at port of entry with other accessories?
Thanks in advance for any insight.

I'm not sure about the 08 but the 07 Camry spoilers are bolt-on.

When I installed mine, I think it was 4 bolts, and a stick-on gasket around the perimiter, as well as stick-on gaskets around the bolt holes. The thing olny weighs about 3lbs, and will provide next to no real downforce. I didn't buy mine from the dealer, though. In any case, if you lose the spoiler, you'll need to replace the boot lid.

Thanks for the quick replies! So if I understand correctly removing the spoiler will leave bolt holes that can't be fixed easily and the whole back trunk piece would have to be replaced?
Thanks again for the help.

I think id leave it in place who wants some ugly holes that you cant really hide? Why dont you just trade it in for another?

They won't do that because each trunk has the car's vin# etched into it.
