Still, I doubt speakers are covered under warranty... Call them on monday and ask.
Why wouldn't they be? The bumper to bumper warrenty should cover any factory part of the car that fails without owner fault.
And if their argument is that the OP was listening to the music too loud or anything of that sort, then the factory head unit should limit volume/bass to the limit of the speakers.

uhh...how? A speaker could blow because it was defective from the factory...
Nothing in the owners manual says anything about the owner having to limit speaker volume, just like it doesn't say anything about limiting acceleration. If you blew a head gasket going WOT while merging with highway traffic wouldn't you expect it to be covered under warranty?

if it was defective from factory, it would have been shot from the beginning.... how about you go prove this to us and call your service dept and ask them about their warranty policy on blown speakers..
Just have the dealer inspect the rear speakers and let him determine whether they were defective or blown due customer's misuse of the factory JBL sound system
I took my car back to the dealer a couple of months ago to inspect a speaker rattle on my rear deck. Turns out it was loose wiring and a loose screw.
If you want to save some time, inspect it yourself. If you notice a burnt voice coil or a tear around the cone of the speaker than you know whose fault that would be...
