Gen6 loud I4 camry?

i have a gen6 (07) 4cyl camry and it currently has the Hesitation issue. (too busy to get the ecu or w.e flashed) I have noticed when accelerating that the car makes quite a bit of noise compared to our gen5 i4. Is this normal? i accelerate i usually keep it below 2000rpm-2500rpm. In 5 and 4th gear it is fairly loud. (not that loud but i was expecting quieter)

anyone else experiencing this problem? i dont know if this is normal or what i havent been in another gen6 i4 camry

Gen 5's and Gen 6's have the exact same engine.

2AZ-FE's are noisy. Many people complain about. It's normal.

Exactly they have the same engine. My point was that both have the same engine but one is noticeably louder than the other. (i dont find the 2az's to be noisy at all) The gen 5 is much quieter upon accel. While my gen 6 is louder why accelating. I dont drive these cars hard so usually i try to let it shift at 2000rpm.and about 2300 in the gen6. Once i stop accelerating and going at a constand speed both cars are quiet, and at idle there about the same(gen5 bit louder due to being older)

I did notice the intake design on the gen6 to be different than the gen5. The gen 6 has a resonator before the actually filter which my gen5 doesn't have.

My wifes 03 4 cylinder started making a rattling noise on acceleration. It slowly started getting worse over the course of the next 6K miles. I was thinking it was a heat shield vibration but its actually coming from the plastic intake manifold. Aparently there are plastic baffels inside that brake loose and cause this harsh vibration sound at certain RPM's. The only way to repair it is to replace the manifold at a cost of $325 for the part from the dealer. Your problem may be different but I thought id mention this incase anyone else has this similar issue.

My mom got a 4 cylinder LE as a rental car not long ago, to me it was a little noisey, i think due to the fact that the body and weight of the car are to much on that little engine. Everytime i floor it to get on to the highway it revs almost to redline before it finally starts going. I think toyota should come out with a new engine or at least tune the 4 cylinder to get a few more horses out of it. Sometimes i wish my SE V6 made the same noise when i floor it, instead of a little purrr.

Has it been that way since the 07 was new, or has the noise increased? I know that my 07 SE has more road noise at low speeds then my wifes 02 LE because I have wide tires. Her car is closer to mine at highway speed because the tires on her car are noisy. Your car could also be making more engine noise because it needs the TSB applied. I'm going to have mine done with the 1st oil change comming up.
