There have been a lot of threads about aftermarket foglights here, so heres another one to add to the list!
I bought my OEM-style fog lights on eBay for about $80 shipped and got them last week. I had to remove the front bumper cover in order to install them.
Now a note about the factory harnesses. They were present on my 11/06 LE, however they didnt provide any power. My guess was because the switch is absent from our models, so it's defaulted to off. So I used the wiring harness that came with the kit. I stripped both the red and white cables, the white goes directly to the battery and I connected the red to the low-beam fuse so it turns off and on with my low-beams.
Now for some pictures:
Heres my car with the front bumper cover removed:
In order to remove the factory foglight holders, you need to push down on the clips and push out:
The new foglights from eBay!
Secured the fog light:
Now I only had one screw hole for the lights, so I used some twist-ties for added security
Photo of the factory wiring harness, which didn't work:

I now have them connected and the car looks so much better, when they are on and off! I'll take some more photos during the day tomorrow.
When you connected the red wire to low beam. How did you do it?
I stripped about 3/4" off the red wire, and I used the left low-beam fuse which is located in the fuse box on the right inside the engine bay. I believe it was the one which said (LL) on the fuse box. It was a bit tricky with the smaller fuses on the car, but I inserted the wire on one side of the fuse, and pushed down. You dont want to cover up both pins otherwise the fuse would be useless.
Major prop for DIY. I had to take my car to the local stereo shop for my fog lights. I would have shock myself or blew up my car. lol.
Looking realy good!!! What H11 bulbs are you using? Are you gonna go with the yellowish? I use my stock H11 bulbs since I upgraded my low beam to HID. (I know you got HID also that why I asked)

I actually did this during my hour break from work, haha (I was late on my way back though).
I'm using the stock bulbs that came with the kit, that are pretty much identical to stock. It's a bit yellowish, but fog lights shouldnt be white anyways. I havent decided if I should switch them to yellow, maybe when these ones burn out.

Only took you an hour? Including front bumper detach/reattach? That's really good, makes me think about taking on this project myself.

Well it took about an hour and 15 minutes, and that included removing the bumper cover, installing the fog lights, and re-attaching everything. Although that doesnt include the time it took to wire everything (which was about 30 minutes).
me personally, i tapped onto the actual wire going to my driver side headlight for my "relay signal" and 12V i got straight from battery. I like how you went right to the fuse itself.

Good job!
Thanks!
I was thinking about going to the signal marker lights, however those come on whenever I unlock/lock the doors so I decided not to go with that. As for going directly to the bulb, I decided against that because I have HID's installed and I didnt want to tamper with it, since it can be pretty picky at times.
I had a question. Right now im not using my factory harness since i did a retrofit on my car. Could i just use the same connection for the low beam connection and plug it into the foglight lights?
