They were nice enough to get it all checked by a mechanic before parking it and awaiting my arrival about three weeks later (today). Anyway, i start it up and there's a CEL on now. From my experience with my wife's volvo, if you park the car too long, presure in the gas tank is lost, and the CEL comes on with a faulty gas cap code. Is that common with Camries too? That's not possible. The car would have to fail more than one test before the
MIL would come on, and it wouldn't perform the test immediately on startup.
I'm not saying that you won't have an EVAP code, just that it doesn't work like you described it.
Get the code and go from there. It's useless to speculate until then.
